Pat teaches kids how to kick

As most of you know Pat works for the Denver Broncos, as their Fan Development Coordinator. What some of you may not know is that Pat is also a very talented kicker. He was the CU kicker for several years. He was recently asked by the Broncos to produce an instruction video for kids, teaching them how to kick. The video is adorable and if you listen carefully, you will notice Pat is also the narrator of the video.

Why have one Thankgiving, when you can have three?

This year was another great Turkey day. The day began early as the first stop was my fathers at 1pm. We enjoyed some cheese and crackers, wine and beer and chatted for about an hour. Unfortunately we were not able to stay much longer because we had two more stops on our own personal turkey trot. Next we were off to Pat's Aunt Pat and Uncle Daves for Thanksgiving dinner. We all enjoyed more wine and beers while watching football and looking at John's (Pat's father), photos from Vietnam. The photos looked so cool because of how old they were and how young Pat's father looked. We had a lovely dinner with a lot of laughs. Shortly after dinner it was off to our final stop of the evening, my cousin Kerry's. Very rarely does a holiday pass without a heated board game with all the cousins. This year the game of choice was "Catch Phrase", and boy did it get heated this year!!! I think that was mainly because no one could remember who was on which team. Although we went to Kerry's to have dessert, after the dinner we ate there was absolutely no room for dessert. Instead we planned board games until I almost fell asleep (p.s it was only 730) and decided to head home. Once we got home even Atreju looked like he ate too much. Oh well I guess we all have an excuse for one day of the year. Gobble Gobble

WHAT A GREAT 28!!!

I had such a neat birthday this year, so I wanted share some pics with all of you from the festivities.

We started the evening with a private wine tasting at a winery here is Colorado called Water 2 Wine. It is such a cool little place. They import grapes from 13 different countries and then produce the wine at the Winery. They had some really amazing wine, and very creative grape blends too. We had the place to ourselves for two full hours, that we used to try just about every wine they produce (at least that is what it felt like Saturday morning-OUCH!). Here are some pics from the tasting.

After the tasting we headed downtown to the big party. The party was thrown at Theorie which is the new bar that opened in the Real World Denver house after the season rapped up. It was great to see some many of my friends and models there. Here are some photos.

The night had a great conclusion... CAKE. Not just any cake either. I happen to think I have a best cake designer in the world!!! Every year Barkley (cake designer), thinks it is funny to put a little mini me on the top of the cake. Well this year I am so glad I took pics of it right away because I actually broke my own head off right after they brought the cake out- LOL!!! What a great night, and thank you to all my super duper friends who came and finished my drinks for me.

Pumpkin carving at it's best!!

Some people may be fortunate enough to have friends that are artists, but few have friends that are actually pumpkin carving EXPERTS!!! On Sunday I decided to settle the score once and for all between these highly competitive carvers, and have an official "carve off" to see who can take the title this year, it was a tough call.

As the competition began it was very intense. The competitors did not speak so that their early preparation secrets were not discovered by the group. You could have cut the air with a knife!

The Competitors

Although it was a tough call we all decided for safety reasons it was best to declare a 5 way tie, because Riley, one of the competitors, runs with a pretty tough crowd.

The finish line.......

Hooray for Hollywood

As many of you know my mother works for Colorado Make a Wish Foundation. Last Saturday night Make a Wish had their annual Gala "Hooray for Hollywood". I thought I would post some pics of the event, so you can see what Mom was working so hard on for the last month or so. Both the event and the silent auction seemed to be quite successful. I walked away with a private wine tasting for 10 people at a private winery in Colorado and Pat won an autographed Joe Sakic hockey stick, which I guess is worth a lot more then he paid, WOO HOO!!

This was definately a red carpet event, Joan River's was even there to welcome the guests.

She pulled me up to interview me about my upcoming projects.

What would any red carpet event be without the paparazzi?

Guests came in either blacktie or in costume as an actor/actress or character from a movie. Here are a couple of pictures of people who really got into character.

The true celebrities at the event were the Wish Kids. Here is a photo of Abigail one of the Wish Kids. She is pictured with the gala chairs and the event emcees, Mariann Curan and Bob Goen
Although my mother was running around all night we were able to grab a couple pics together.

ONCE

Most of you know how much I see films, and to be honest I think most would agree it has moved past a love of films and into an addiction. I typically see about 2-3 films a week. I should have pursued being a film critic!!! When I first thought of starting a blog I was originally going to have a section of it just devoted to movies, a place where I would give my reviews, but then I figured I may not have enough time to keep up with that. So instead I have decided to only write a blog when a film really deserves it.

So here is my recommendation.... GO SEE ONCE!!!!! This is such an amazing film that at times almost seems like more of a documentary. It is set in Dublin and is the story of a boy and his guitar and a girl and her piano. My mother and I went and saw this last weekend, and I cannot tell you how much you will have your breath taken away by the music in this film. I do not want to ruin anything about this film for you but I do want to give you just a little taste of what you can look forward to. Just another reason to be proud to be Irish eh???? After all look how talented we are lol!!!

Being pregnant never looked so good!!!

Whoa don't worry, I am not pregnant, gave ya'll a little scare huh? Several of my closest friends are pregnant currently though. I wanted to write this blog about an adorable business one of them just started. My girlfriend of about 20 some years started her own clothing company for who else... Babies and Mama's. It is really cute and I was sure may of you know people who may really like her items.

Although I am not pregnant I did volunteer to strap on a fake preggers belly and model some tee's for her. LOL

Two Moons

On Monday Aug 27th Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate when Mars comes within 34.65 Million miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Everyone should try to watch this as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again.

Meet Atreyu Danahy Fogg

It has been a really difficult couple of years having to live without an animal. I am such an animal lover and honestly I do not feel at home until I have a four legged friend to curl up with. At first I considered getting a puppy, but after considering how busy my life has become I figured that right now I do not have enough time for a dog. So I decided to get a cat. For weeks I told everyone about how I was going to get a Toyger, which is an exotic hybrid cat (looks just like a tiger), but then reconsidered, and decided I would adopt a cat instead. I spent one Sunday going to two local shelters, Max Fund and the Denver Dumb Friends League. I found my new companion at Max Fund. He was by far the most popular feline and actually had a huge blue ribbon on his cage that said "#1 Lap Cat". He is a 2yr old, medium sized, black, long haired, green eyed cat. I held him for about a minute and knew immediately I had found my cat. His name was Eubie, which I was not very fond of. I decided to name him Atreyu, the name is from the movie, The Neverending Story.

His adjustment was very easy and within a day it seemed as if I he had been there for years. I had his soft claws put on the next day so that all of my new furniture would be safe (soft claws are plastic nail overlays so their nails cannot puncture anything). He is a very funny cat that at times acts more like a dog than a cat. He jumps up on me when I get home (like a dog), follows me from room to room and curls up on my lap as fast as he can when I get home. Oh, and did I mention he likes water? He has actually jumped in the bathtub with me and sits in the sink and lets the water run over his head. I am convinced he was raised with dogs because he is very comfortable with them too.

Atreyu is very friendly and cannot wait to meet all of you.

My New Condo

Most of you may know by now, that in June I purchased my first place. I bought a fabulous condo in the Uptown neighborhood, just above downtown Denver. It was the second place that I looked at and from the second I walked in the door I knew it was the right place for me. My mother was skeptical when I told her I had found my place on the first day of house hunting, but after she saw it just once she was just as convinced as I was. After a somewhat stressful loan process (the mortagage industry really stinks right now!), I closed and moved in a little less then a month after seeing it for the first time. The actual move was really pretty simple, due to purchasing almost everything new for the condo, so I think with the help of Jake, I had everything moved in, in an afternoon. Thanks to my girlfriend Kerri, who came out to assist as my interior designer, the rooms were already planned out and everything was being delivered, so once all the deliveries had been made and the boxes had been unpacked, I was HOME! To bad I had about 24hrs to enjoy my new abode before I had to jet off to Miami for a casting call (Mi Vida Loca!!). I wanted to post pictures of my place for those of you that have not been able to stop by yet, or for those of you who live out of state. If you fall into one of those categories.... Please come by you are in my neck of the woods. For some reason 2 of the photos are not displaying properly (they are the sliver photos to the right), if you click on them they will enlarge.

WELCOME TO MY BLOG

Hello everyone!!

I have decided to join the world of "bloggers". I have found that as the demands in our lives increase it is harder for all of us to keep in touch as much as I would like. I hope that you all enjoy my thoughts, stories and pictures that I will post to keep up with friends and family.

Love,
Brooke
